Dr. Steve Bass graduated with highest honors from theUniversity of Florida in 1981 with degrees in biochemistry, microbiology, cell science, and molecular genetics. Dr. Bass attended medical school at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee.

He is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina and Florida. Postgraduate training included an internship at Vanderbilt University comprised of radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, medical oncology, surgical pathology, and diagnostic radiology. Subsequent residency training was obtained at Vanderbilt Medical Center and at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where Dr. Bass served as chief resident from 1988-1989.
